At this point, yeah, I kinda think so. Everybody saw what happened. Everybody saw the flashbacks. Everybody saw this PIECE OF CUNT EPISODE (calm down, RK, calm down. Drink your tea. It’ll be okay)

Okay.

Think of it this way. Amon’s going after benders, taking their bending away. At this point in the series, he’s become a pretty powerful influence in the city, to the point where nobody’s safe anywhere. He’ll take down anyone who gets in his way, bender or non-bender.

BUT.

Tarrlok is a power-hungry dictator (okay, head councilman or whatever, but he seems to have dictator-like power over the city). He’s an expert manipulator, and he’s managed to shmooze most of the higher-ups over to his side. He is a glutton for power, and so it makes sense that he’s a bloodbender - he gets to control people’s minds as well as their bodies.

Basically, right now, at this point in the episode, based mainly on those flashbacks and Korra’s visions of Aang telling her something’s up, and now that we see how far Tarrfuck is going to go to obtain power and control, he is the most dangerous thing in the show.

In this episode, I think he went mad with power. Amon never attacked the non-benders outright. He never went as far as penning up innocent men, women, and children and trying to lock them all up for no reason.

So here’s my speculation for the next episode - Amon rescues all those non-benders that were thrown in jail unfairly. See, Amon preaches about all the terrible things benders have done, and Tarrlok has just become a living representation. He could set them all free and then end up swaying most of them to his side - just because of Tarrlok’s monstrous behavior.

Taking away their rights? No. That is not how you do things. Why put a curfew on the non-benders? Didn’t someone ever think to call Tarrlok out on this asinine move? Amon’s not attacking THEM, and if a metalbending army and a task force didn’t faze him, a curfew sure as hell isn’t going to do much good. What, are all these chiefs and leaders sheep or something? Does Tarrlok wear hypnotic perfume? Is he secretly Hitler’s reincarnation? No, if you want a fucking curfew, put it on the benders! To keep THEM safe!

Basically, Tarrlok’s power hunger is going to be the death of everyone, because right now, Amon’s probably sitting back twiddling his thumbs. He couldn’t have known Tarrlok was going to go that far. Still, this gives him so, so many non-benders on his side, if and when those poor people all go free.

There. That’s it. Might add more later. Ugh.
I can’t remember when a cartoon character has pissed me off to this point.
